The Tea Guidance Association was established during the Japanese Colonial Period; an important place to grow seedlings and teach people tea-making skills, mainly Paochong Tea at that time. Today, Wen Sun Farm remains a place to pass on Taiwan tea culture.
In the past, Wen Sun Farm contained diverse services, including rearing pigs. In the 1980s, being located at the Feitsui Reservoir Water Source Protection Area, the farm stopped rearing pigs and cooperated with the government to develop leisure farming, thus becoming a place for leisure activities and promoting Taiwan tea. In 2017, the farm acquired the first farm registration certification in New Taipei City.

Tourists can pick tea leaves, taste various teas and look around the farm.
People nowadays are familiar with all kinds of shakes and drinks, but know little about where tea is grown and its production process. After developing into a leisure farm, the farm took the initiative to promote tea culture, passing on the production method of Wenshan Paochong Tea at the tea factory. Visitors pick and make tea with bamboo hats on their heads and tea baskets on their back to truly experience life on a real tea farm.
Through a guided tour on tea-making, tourists learn how Paochong Tea is produced. First, the farmer picks one tip, two leaves. Next, the tea leaves are dried in the sunlight and hot air. Then, they are put away and stirred for indoor withering. The tea leaves are then blanched, rolled, separated, dried, baked and finally Paochong Tea is rolled into a ball-shape and wrapped with cloth.

One of the major features of the farm is the tea tree area, which has up to 61 different kinds of tea trees from Taiwan, Japan and China, all with an information tag. Tourists can walk around the trees and take a closer look. They have vivid distinctions from the sizes of the leaves to the color. As all the trees are planted together, people can really see the differences.
