Chen Guanlin, the third-generation owner, recounts how his grandfather started farming and labored hard throughout his life. With a sprawling area of twelve hectares and equipped with various agricultural machinery, including rice mill and color sorting machines, the farm primarily cultivates the Taiken No. 8 rice variety. From father to son, they have repeatedly secured top honors in various rice evaluations with Taiken No. 8. The "Chen Manor" insists on selling single-variety rice because, as Chen Guanlin asserts, their rice has impeccable quality and requires no mixing of grains to enhance taste or aroma. This resolute commitment reflects the confidence they have in their brand. Currently, fourth-generation Chen Bowei, who is still under thirty years old, clinched first place in the 2022 Yilan County Wujie Township Rice Quality Evaluation with the Taiken No. 8 variety.
